BG Group Elects New Non-Executive Director
BG Group has today announced the appointment of Mark Seligman as a non-executive Director. The appointment is with immediate effect.
Mark Seligman, 53, is currently Senior Advisor to Credit Suisse. He is the former Chairman of UK Investment Banking at Credit Suisse and a former member of the bank's Global Investment Banking Executive Board. A chartered accountant, he previously held senior roles at Barclays de Zoete Wedd and SG Warburg & Co Ltd.
Seligman is a non-executive director of G4S plc. He serves as an alternate member of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers and is Chairman of the Industrial Development Advisory Board.
BG Group Chairman Sir Robert Wilson said, "Mark is an experienced international investment banker with a track record of providing strategic capital markets advice at the highest levels. I am delighted to welcome him to the BG Group Board."
BG Group confirms that there are no details to be disclosed under Section 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules. Save as noted above, Mark Seligman has held no directorships in publicly-quoted companies in the past five years.
