Aberdeen-based Vertec Engineering Limited has been awarded two contracts worth more than £320,000 to design and build ROV control cabins for two major oil and gas clients.
Vertec, which specializes in the design, build and rental of service cabins and control rooms for the oil and gas industry, has secured a £225,000 deal with Fugro Subsea Services (Fugro) to design and manufacture two A60 ROV control cabins for use in a Zone 2 hazardous area for a project in Egypt.
Vertec, which is part of the Offshore Containers Holding Limited (OCHL) Group, has also been awarded a £95,000 deal by Integrated Subsea Services Limited (ISS). The contract comprises the design and build of two A60 Zone 2 ROV control cabins and a workshop for use in the UK.
Vertec's Managing Director David Soper said, "We are delighted to have been awarded these two significant contracts. Fugro and ISS have issued us with tight deadlines to complete the work, with the full confidence and knowledge that our fleet of units can be modified quickly and adapted easily to suit their needs.
"Our commitment to designing and delivering bespoke modular packages of the highest standard means that we continue to win new contracts such as these on a regular basis -- and the remainder of 2009, and indeed beyond, looks set to be a very positive period of growth for the company."
