Petrobras Awards Subsea Contract To FMC

FMC Corporation announced that Petrobras, the Brazilian state-owned oil company, has awarded its FMC Energy Systems unit an order to supply a subsea manifold and associated subsea controls for the Marimba Leste field, offshore Brazil. The order is valued at $15.3 million and will be delivered to Petrobras in 2002.

According to Peter Kinnear, FMC vice president, Petroleum Equipment and Systems: "Since 1995, Petrobras has ordered a total of 17 subsea manifolds, and FMC CBV Subsea has captured 12 of these orders. These orders reflect our commitment to provide Petrobras the deepwater expertise, service and quality it needs."
