CNOOC Shuts in Production due to Typhoon Krovanh

Sunday CNOOC shut in production from some of its wells in the South China Sea on the approach of Typhoon Krovanh. Some wells are closed temporarily and workers have been evacuated, according to a spokesman from CNOOC. The spokesman said this could affect September exports.

CNOOC has also advised terminal operators to close terminal operations in the Pearl River Mouth Delta region. The closure of the terminals would lead to a delay in the loading of 500,000- 600,000 barrels of export cargo.
