Electro-Flow Controls Ltd (EFC), an Aberdeen-based leading designer and manufacturer of Instrumentation, Monitoring and Control Systems for the global oil and gas industry, has announced further expansion in the Middle East and Brazilian markets with new engineering appointments in these regions.
Brazil and the Middle East has seen EFC complete well over $4million worth of contracts in the last two years, with the Brazilian market now accounting for approximately 10% of the company’s overall turnover.
The areas are a priority for EFC's future growth and the company has appointed engineering staff specifically for Macae, Brazil, and for Abu Dhabi in the Middle East, providing local support for EFC's systems operating in the regions, and allowing clients' requests to be dealt locally. EFC is in the process of recruiting additional junior and senior personnel to fill gaps left by overseas engineering staff.
EFC has offices in Houston and over 50 people at its bases in the UK and the USA, with further plans to increase staff numbers in Houston within the next few months.
Managing Director John Wheeler said, "We have won significant levels of business in these regions and took the decision that we would provide skilled, on-the-ground support to underpin further growth. This allows new relationships to be developed in the regions and also enhances the ones we have been establishing over the years."
"Our products meet the highest safety standards and EFC has developed a sound reputation for providing tailored system solutions to the global oil and gas industry. International business is critical to our success and we aim to continue to develop the work we do both in Brazil and the Middle East."
