HB Rentals is intensifying its focus on Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the appointment of highly-experienced sales and marketing boss Michael Bradley.
Bradley arrives at HB Rentals 15 years after being involved in establishing the firm's Aberdeen office -- under former name Duffy and McGovern Accommodation Services -- in the North Sea marketplace.
A graduate of the University of Leicester, he has extensive knowledge of the CIS and Middle East, having spent a number of years working in countries including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and, most recently, Abu Dhabi.
HB Rentals is the only offshore module specialist in the region capable of supplying units which meet the latest ABS, SOLAS and IMO regulations and are fully DNV approved.
"The global economic downturn has had no effect on the standards required in the energy industry, meaning that operators and contractors in every region continue to focus on renting and buying the best assets on the market," said Mike Bradley.
"HB Rentals is already the world's largest supplier of standard-setting accommodation modules, and our rental fleet is under continuous expansion to fulfil the needs of the highly active energy sector.
"That alone means we have enormous potential and opportunity for expansion throughout continental Europe, Africa and in particular the Middle East, as HB Rentals has the highest-specification fleet available."
HB Rentals' cabins can be custom-built for use as sleeping quarters, office space, laboratories and even galleys.
"By investing £10million in constructing 50 new modules for use throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, we have brought our fleet to more than 300 cabins and that puts us in a position where we can meet client requirements at very short notice," said Bradley.
"Oil and gas exploration operators continue to test our capability to respond quickly both onshore and offshore, and we are now focusing on further expanding our work across what is a fast-developing energy producing region."
