Specialist oilfield production chemicals company, Champion Technologies, has announced growth and consolidation of its operations in the Eastern Hemisphere.
Investment in a new multi-million pound Aberdeen headquarters, and facilities expansion in Scandinavia, the Middle East, Africa and Caspian regions ensures that the company is ideally positioned to better service regional business by streamlining operations and reducing cost of operations.
The company has expanded its premises in Altens, Aberdeen to a total of 5.4 acres and construction of a £4.5million Technology and Research and Development centre is underway.
The building, which is due for completion later this year, will house five generic chemical processes and applications and will work in partnership with existing laboratories and technical centres in the Netherlands, Houston, Calgary, Moscow, Singapore and Dubai.
Harry Montgomerie, Champion Technologies' Eastern Hemisphere Division, business unit manager, said, "The specifically designed new facilities in Aberdeen will allow us to deliver a more integrated and efficient service, helping to support our long term commitment to provide best-in-class solutions to our clients. The purpose built facility will also help attract and retain the best technical professionals in the industry.
"In Scandinavia continued positive growth in our business and our team has led to a move to new premises. The facility in Stavanger has given the Norwegian office the capability to offer onsite Customer Training Schools to communicate up-to-date production chemistry technologies and processes to our customers."
Within the Middle East, Champion has opened an additional office in Dubai. Alan MacLean has recently moved from his position of UK business manager in Aberdeen, to his new role of regional manager - Middle East.

Our office in Dubai allows us to operate more independently and will enable Champion to better support our businesses across the Middle East by providing a solid platform for future business growth."
