The well is located southwest of Floro offshore western Norway in approximately 370 meters of water. It was drilled to a total depth of 3,803 meters below the sea's surface into rock from the Mid-Jurassic period.
The well showed traces of hydrocarbons in rock from the Upper Jurassic period, which was the primary goal of the drilling operation, but the find is considered non-commercial. The well results are presently being evaluated by Hydro.
Odfjell's semisub, Deepsea Delta, has concluded drilling, plugged the well and is now proceeding to the Hydro-operated Tune field to do well intervention and completion work.
Hydro owns a 40 percent stake in PL 195, followed by Petoro with 35 percent and RWE DEA at 25 percent.
