EV Offshore Recruits New Managers to Drive Expansion
EV Offshore Ltd, a leading provider of downhole, subsea and well intervention camera inspection solutions, today announced that it has made two key management appointments.
Sandy Adamson has been appointed International Sales Manager for EV Offshore. In his new role, Adamson is responsible for managing the division's facilities in Aberdeen, as well as driving new business development efforts globally. Throughout his 35 year career in the oil and gas industry, he has travelled extensively internationally to develop new business and maintain long-term client relationships. He has in-depth experience in oilfield sales, and extensive knowledge of a wide range of industry services.
Adamson served most recently as Senior Sales Specialist with Baker Hughes PMG in Aberdeen, and as Operations and Sales Manager for Sonaid in Luanda, Angola. Previously, he worked for Wood Group Pressure Control in Aberdeen for four years as Sales Manager.
A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Adamson is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Society of Underwater Technology International. He is based at EV Offshore's global headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Key Appointments Offer Range of Skills and Experience
With Adamson heading up operations from its Aberdeen base, Glenn Crouch has been appointed International Sales Manager. With 40 years experience in the oil and gas industry, Crouch is in charge of carrying out business development activities throughout the world on behalf of the company. Before joining EV Offshore, Crouch worked in a variety of sales, engineering and operational and consultancy roles in the UK, USA, UAE, Russia and Singapore. His most recent position was with JDR Cable Systems as Sales Account Manager, Europe. Previously he worked as Purchasing and Contract Manager for Gobustan Operating Company in Baku, Azerbaijan, and as International Sales Manager for ODS & MENTO International in Great Yarmouth, England.
Originally from Lowestoft, England, Crouch is former Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers in Singapore and Great Yarmouth. He is based at EV Offshore’s facility in Norwich, England.
Both Adamson and Crouch report to David Clover, Operations Director of EV Offshore.
New Technologies and New Markets
"The past five years have been a dramatic period of growth in terms of staff, and the range and capabilities of the camera inspection systems we use to conduct inspections and monitor the subsea environment for our clients," said David Clover. Clover attributes this growth to the ever-increasing demand for the company's downhole and subsea inspection services. "Because every inspection operation is unique, we have been designing new custom systems for a broader range of applications, including monitoring cuttings operations during diverless platform decommissioning operations and subsea pipeline shutdowns. As word of these systems and the quality of our service has spread throughout the industry, we have been working well beyond our roots in the North Sea. During the past year alone, we've carried out operations for major operators in the UK, Norway, Canada, Alaska and Egypt," he added.
During the coming months, EV Offshore is preparing to carry out operations in the UK, Norway, Alaska and West Africa. Looking ahead, Clover anticipates that its Aberdeen employee base will increase by at least 100% to support these operations.
With the majority of staff and equipment based permanently in Aberdeen, and the support of further staff at its base in Norwich, England, EV Offshore is able to respond quickly to call-outs, mobilizing inspection teams and equipment on extremely short notice. EV Offshore's international network of bases is growing, with a presence in Norway and Alaska. The company plans to open a base in Baku to support the Caspian region, and in Singapore to support the Asia Pacific region.
