Woolslayer Companies, Inc. (WCI) announced that Thomas L. Wingerter has been named WCI chief executive officer and member of the WCI board of directors. Mr. Wingerter's appointment was effective January 2009.
"Tom is a 29-year veteran of the oil and gas services industry," said J.R. Woolslayer, WCI chairman. "His leadership qualities and reputation in the oil and gas service industry are stellar, and we are excited about WCI's future with Tom as our CEO." Mr. Wingerter's office is at WCI's Tulsa headquarters. Mr. Woolslayer also announced that Dewayne Vogt remains WCI president and chief engineer, now reporting to Mr. Wingerter.
Mr. Wingerter joins WCI from Pinpoint Drilling and Directional Services, LLC, a privately held integrated drilling and directional services company in Dallas. Prior to his four-year tenure with Pinpoint, Mr. Wingerter was with Parker Drilling Company for 25 years. He retired from Parker in 2003 as vice president of global operations and a member of its senior leadership team.
