Leading oilfield services provider AlMansoori Specialized Engineering (MSE) has revealed an ambitious growth strategy in 2009 and beyond that will see it consolidate its position as an innovative and ambitious player in the Middle East.
From 2009 MSE has planned strategic growth of more than 25% this year and in subsequent years. This rapid expansion will result in new jobs being created with the company committed to an extensive training program.
Chief Executive Officer, Nabil Alalawi, said, "We are committed to growth this year and in coming years. The idea of a slow-down is not on our agenda, although we are mindful that we have to be price conscious and to be aggressive in the marketplace."
Speaking at MSE's annual open house day at its Mussafah base in Abu Dhabi, Alalawi said there were sound reasons why the company was flourishing in the midst of a worldwide recession. "We continuously look for new services that can give added value to what our organisation in offering the industry today. In the economic downturn, our clients are looking for support with minimum economic impact while having a high quality service," he said.
The company is involved in several joint ventures. The Global Chemical Company's specialised chemical manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi is scheduled to be operational by the second quarter of 2009 and the grand opening of the new Corex facility in Mussafah will take place this summer. The cutting-edge base will provide the Middle East oil and gas industry with high-tech routine core analysis and pressure, volume and temperature (PVT) services. The AlMansoori Hilong Petroleum Pipe Company is also due launch later this year creating the largest technologically advanced drill pipe and OCTG end finishing plant in the region.
More than 1,000 guests from the Middle East, Far East, Europe and CIS attended MSE's open house day on March 26 at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, and were able to see MSE's innovative new technologies including the latest fibre optic equipment, the integrated Wireline Zone 2 unit, and the company's Mono-bore High Pressure Expandable Bridge Plug.
Alalawi believes open house days are important as they act as a statement to the industry of the pride the company takes in what it does. He added, "We want our clients and the public to come and see our workplace and observe the world-class standards we have in place, together with the latest products we have to offer.
"New technologies are important to AlMansoori in order to continuously improve our services and at the same time offer our clients the latest in the industry so that we can be competitive and innovative in the market place."
