NPD Unveils Petroleum Production on NCS for January 2009



The average daily production was about 2,108,000 barrels of oil, about 266,000 barrels of NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) and about 87,000 barrels of condensate, in total of 2,461,000 barrels liquid. During the month of January 22.4 million standard cubic meters of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 0.7 million standard cubic meters more than in January 2008.

The Kvitebjorn field started production again on Jan. 27 after having been closed down since August 2008.  Both Yttergryta and Rev fields started production during January.

Preliminary production figures for February 2009 show an average daily production of about 2.161 million barrels of oil and 0.340 million barrels of NGL and condensate and a total of 9.7 billion Sm3 net gas production in February.

Final figures will be available in the beginning of April 2009.
