Halliburton Prices Offering of $2B of Senior Notes
Halliburton announced the pricing of an offering of $2 billion in an aggregate principal amount of senior notes. The notes are being issued in two tranches -- $1 billion of 10 1/2-year notes bearing interest at a fixed rate of 6.15% per year and maturing on September 15, 2019, and $1 billion of 30 1/2-year notes bearing interest at a fixed rate of 7.45% per year and maturing on September 15, 2039. The offering is expected to close on March 13, 2009.
The proceeds of this offering will be used for general corporate purposes.
