The formation of Integrated Drilling Equipment (IDE) has created a vertically integrated, sole source provider of U.S.-manufactured, land-based drilling rigs and related components by combining the expert capabilities of several unique groups.
IDE and its subsidiary groups provide customers with all aspects of the design, manufacturing, refurbishing, reconfiguring and field servicing of land-based drilling rigs, rig equipment, rig control systems and related parts.
IDE's subsidiaries are IEC Systems, Advanced Rig Services (ARS) and IDE Hydraulics Group.
IEC Systems is the oil and gas industry's leading provider of drilling rig electrical components and rig power systems, specializing in the design, engineering, manufacturing and servicing of its silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) and variable frequency drive (VFD) rig drive systems. IEC also provides motor control centers, driller's controls and cabins, as well as complete rig electrical system design, installation and repair services.
ARS is a full-service rig-up and fabrication facility specializing in rig-up, rig refurbishment, rig modification, equipment procurement, testing and repair services, and design services for land rigs and offshore platform rigs.
IDE Hydraulics Group provides custom-built hydraulic power units and engineered hydraulic-related rig solutions.
In June 2008, IDE signed an exclusive, strategic supplier relationship with Sherbrooke Enterprises Ltd., which specializes in the manufacture of API-certified masts, substructures, drawworks, mud pumps, traveling equipment and other rig components.
IDE is headquartered in Spring, Texas, and provides its products and services to a worldwide customer base primarily from two Houston facilities.
