John W. Wright Joins Boots & Coots as Senior VP of Technology
Boots & Coots announced that John W. Wright has joined Boots & Coots as Senior Vice President of Technology.

"This is a strategic investment in that the technology and experience we’re acquiring will enhance our Safeguard service offerings, endorse our leadership position in risk management and give us a competitive edge for growth."
Before joining Boots & Coots, John served as President of John Wright Company from 1989 to present. John formed John Wright Company in August 1989 to provide blowout control engineering design, specialist personnel and related special services to the oil and gas industry specifically for relief wells and underground blowouts. John designed and supervised dozens of relief well and borehole intersection projects. He was instrumental in introducing a comprehensive "Well Control Management System." John co-founded Well Flow Dynamics in December 1991 to provide hydraulic two-phase transient kill simulations with Olga Well-Kill for blowouts as well as other drilling and production operations. He managed the field operations of Vector Magnetics Inc., a casing detection firm in 1991 and 1992. In 1994 and 1995 John combined forces with Boots & Coots L.P., forming Wright Boots & Coots Engineering.
Prior to that John worked for Eastman Christensen from 1981 to 1989, in various roles. John started his career with Schlumberger Offshore Services as Offshore Field Logging Engineer, from 1979-1981.
