The creation of a new director's post at ITF, the Industry's Technology Facilitator, marks continued growth for the oil and gas industry's champion for technology development.
The not-for-profit organization's existing technology manager, David Liddle has been promoted to operations director in reflection of ITF's sustained global activity.
Owned by 21 major operator and service company members, ITF identifies exploration and production (E&P) technology needs and helps foster the development of new technologies by establishing JIPs with up to 100% funding available for successful, innovative technology proposals.
David Liddle, who has been with ITF for the last 2 years has more than thirty years experience in the design, manufacture, development, and marketing of high technology products for the oil and gas industry. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to an evolving directorship within the organization.
The operations director role will see Liddle take responsibility for the development of the organizations strategy and link it with the implementation of action plans that aim to turn thinking, ideas and strategy theories into concrete reality.
This exciting promotion will see Liddle rotate between his existing role as a technology manager while maintaining activity in, and direct responsibility for, operational excellence across the company.
Retaining a technology management role ensures that Liddle maintains close ties with the key specialist arena of production, wells and subsea projects(PWS) which underlines the organizations commitment to continually meet the needs of its ITF members.
He said, "The focus throughout my career has always been technology development and innovation. My commitment to ITF however goes beyond that and I am certain that my new role as operations director will be a golden opportunity to ensure ITF continues to flourish and grow."
Similarly, the organization has appointed a new business development manager with the arrival of Tony Zaccarini.
Zaccarini, supersedes Helen Tulloch.
With more than 20 years experience in the media, sales, design and marketing industries, Zaccarini is well placed to deliver a comprehensive business development strategy that supports ITF’s business objectives.
Zaccarini's previous post with an offshore services company saw him develop global business opportunities in regions such as the Middle and Far East, Malaysia and North Africa. With an extensive sales and marketing background, Zaccarini's key responsibilities will include developing new and original ways to engage the oil and gas community, while championing technology development and innovation for the upstream oil and gas industry.
To date ITF has been responsible for successfully delivering over 130 collaborative oilfield technology projects to the market, securing direct funding of almost £37 million.
