InterMoor do Brasil Ltda., an Acteon company, has named Osvaldo Lorca project director in its Rio de Janeiro office, where Lorca will be in charge of project management.
Lorca has worked for InterMoor for two years as a senior engineer. In this role, he has served as project engineer and project manager for Shell BC-10 and Repsol BM-S-48. He also has served as a mooring installation engineer and supervisor and has developed new business prospects for the company.
Lorca previously was a senior project engineer with Petrobras working in MODU mooring design, installation procedures and installation supervision. While at Petrobras, he also worked on various deepwater floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel installations that used torpedo piles.
"We are very excited to have Osvaldo in charge of managing our projects out of Brazil," said John Riggs, managing director of InterMoor do Brasil. "He has been a great value to the company and will continue to help strengthen client relationships and ensure projects are performed and completed to meet the expectations of our customers."
