EPL Hires New Drilling & Completion Operations Manager
Mr. Flores began his career in 1980 at Apache Oil Company in Lafayette, Louisiana as a Petroleum Engineer assigned to the south Louisiana division. In 1983, he joined the consulting firm of Stokes and Spiehler in Lafayette as a consulting engineer where he remained until 1988. He next joined CNG Producing in New Orleans as a senior drilling engineer where he was recognized for initiating innovative drilling practices. Mr. Flores joined Ocean Energy, Inc. in Lafayette in 1993 where he was named Vice President of Operations and was responsible for drilling operations in the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa. In 1999 he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Drilling and moved to Ocean's headquarters in Houston where he was responsible for Ocean's worldwide drilling and completion operations. Mr. Flores is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
