Cameron Broadens Product Services with Precision Downhole Pumps Acquisition

Cameron has acquired Precision Downhole Pumps, a US-based manufacturer of artificial lift equipment.

Precision designs, builds, distributes and services rod lift pumping systems and associated services and has been supplying sucker rod pump parts and accessories to the rod lift market for 20 years.

Precision will increase the size and geographic reach of Cameron's existing artificial lift businesses with manufacturing in Iola, Kansas, and a distribution channel throughout the US. As a part of Cameron, Precision will broaden the scope of products and services offered in the US including sucker rods as well as support Cameron's artificial lift market internationally.

"The acquisition of Precision expands Cameron's portfolio of manufactured artificial lift products and provides significant control over a critical piece of the overall rod lift system," said Gary Halverson. President of Cameron's Surface Systems division.

Precision, based in Iola, Kansas, will be integrated into the Surface Systems division of Cameron's Drilling & Production Systems group based in Houston.

Cameron's current range of systems solutions includes drilling and production systems, processing systems, compression systems, artificial lift systems and flow measurement systems.

Cameron is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries.
