Gas States Agree, Charter Forum of Gas Exporting Countries

MOSCOW (Dow Jones Newswires), December 23, 2008

Energy ministers from twelve of the largest gas exporting countries in the world Tuesday signed a charter to synchronize investments and try to stabilize prices.

The group, which some have likened to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, will be called the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries and will be headquartered in Doha, Qatar.
