Franklin Field Still Offline

Total said that production was unable to be restarted on Wednesday from its Franklin Field in the North Sea. A Total spokesperson said that the field has been shut in due to drilling problems. The company is making every effort to resume production. However, it is unlikely that production will resume within the next 24 hours and no time frame has been given for its restart. The nearby Elgin field is operating normally.
