ATP Acquires Block WC 663 in the Gulf of Mexico
ATP Oil & Gas has acquired the West Cameron (Southern Edition) Block 663 located in 366 feet of water in the Gulf of Mexico. This block was awarded to ATP pursuant to the March 2003 Central Gulf Lease Sale.
ATP has a 100% working interest in West Cameron 663 and is the operator. The block, with proved reserves, is in close proximity to the Garden Banks 142 infrastructure that ATP plans to install this year. The discovery well on West Cameron 663 was drilled to a depth of 9063 feet in 1985 with proved hydrocarbons at approximately 7800 feet measured depth.
Gerald W. Schlief, Senior Vice President of ATP stated, "With this property we continue to enhance our inventory in a core operating area which complements our existing infrastructure and improves cost efficiencies."
