Uplogix Appoints New VP of Sales
Uplogix has announced the appointment of Preston Lawhorne as Vice President of Sales. With more than 30 years of experience in executive and sales roles in the technology sector, Lawhorne will oversee the acceleration of global expansion efforts, while aggressively building the vertical market program that includes energy/oil and gas, satellite communications, government and MSP sectors.
With the current economic conditions forcing enterprise IT organizations to examine budgets world-wide, Uplogix solutions are the first to deliver the ability and confidence to automate the management and recovery of remote sites.

Lawhorne has held sales and management positions at a number of high profile technology companies including Oracle, Memorex and Data General. He was most recently Vice President of North American Sales at TippingPoint where he was instrumental in making TippingPoint the leader in network prevention security. Prior to TippingPoint, Lawhorne was Area Vice President for the Southeastern U.S. at Network Associates. He began his career at Burroughs Corporation where he held various sales and sales management positions over a fourteen year period.
