Petrobras Sets Exports Record for October

Petrobras

Petrobras set an exports record of 574,000 barrels of domestic oil per day in October, topping-out at 17,806,000 barrels in the month. This record surpassed the previous mark, set last April, by 42,000 per day.

The exports were destined mainly to the United States, at 65.2%, followed by China (24.1%), Europe (5.5%), and South America (5.2%).

In addition to the volumetric challenge, logistics were even more complex on account of the need to combine different types of oil in a same shipment in order to attain better value for the Company.

The record is the outcome of joint, integrated work carried out by the Exploration & Production, Transpetro, and Downstream – Logistics & Marketing areas, and it made a significant contribution to the Brazilian trade balance.
