EMGS Trims Vessel Fleet, Plans for December Delivery

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has in the last few months reduced its vessel fleet from five to three vessels. The organization will now be scaled and costs realigned accordingly.

The updated vessel plan entails EMGS operating three vessels through the winter months, when market activity traditionally is lower. This includes the first high capacity, purpose-built vessel BOA Thalassa, which will be delivered in December. The fleet is expected to be increased once the second purpose-built vessel is delivered and operational in the second quarter 2009.
