Elixir has provided the following update on activities at the Pompano field in the Gulf of Mexico.

Well SL 103320-4 ("Well-3")

Since the Company's last announcement, the operator at the Pompano Project, AnaTexas Offshore Inc., has advised that the open hole section in Well-3 has been abandoned and the well has been left in a suspended condition for future completion or as a sidetrack candidate. Data analysis of the log data from Well-3 is continuing with a view to assessing future options for the well.

The Hercules 152 drilling rig demobilized from the field and was off contract at midnight on October 17, 2008 (US/CST). This will be the last operational update for Well-3.

Well SL 103229-1 ("Well-1")

The operator continues to source equipment and materials for the workover to be conducted on Well-1. Planning is well advanced and Elixir will make a further announcement when the workover operations commence.
