InterOil Cites Production Record High for Fifth Well in Peru
InterOil's fifth well in the new Mirador area (Southern part of Block III) has produced 950 bopd, a record high for a single well. The third and fourth wells are at present being tested, however the expected production should be more in line with normal wells (80 - 100 bopd). The sixth well will be tested within 2 weeks and looks very promising.
"The new wells indicate once more that the Mirador area will have a huge impact on our future production in Peru and contain significant new reserves," commented Nils N. Trulsvik, CEO of InterOil E&P ASA.
"InterOil now has a better understanding of the Mirador area and will focus the next wells to be drilled near the successful wells. Additional production wells are planned to be drilled back to back during the next 3 months," continued Trulsvik.
