ARKeX is expanding its reach into Latin America with the hiring of Guillermo Garcia as Business Development Manager.
Garcia will be responsible for business development throughout the Americas. This is an area where ARKeX sees massive potential for its BlueQube surveying technology. The high resolution dataset will enable an entirely new range of challenging geological settings to be imaged in unprecedented clarity.
"Latin America is a vast and complex region, where traditional exploration methods are challenged by complex geology, difficult terrain and environmental issues," explained Phill Houghton, ARKeX VP Sales. "Our airborne BlueQube surveys provide crucial data to oil companies in order to effectively explore the subsurface geology in these difficult areas."
Garcia joins ARKeX from Halliburton and has more than 10 years of operations management experience in the oil and gas industry and three years in scientific research on geological and geophysical interpretation and data analysis. Serving in various roles from sales manager in Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil to research geophysicist in Colombia, including eight years with Halliburton /Landmark, García has developed a deep knowledge of the industry and the region from many perspectives.
"I'm very excited to be joining ARKeX at this time," said Garcia. "The technology and the region are a perfect match, and I expect to see BlueQube becoming an essential exploration tool there as it has in North America."
Garcia has a Bachelor of Science in Geology and master's degrees in both business administration and engineering. He will be based in the Company's Houston office.
