SMT has announced the opening of its sales and support office in Moscow, Russia. This announcement follows the opening of the Company's new office in Calgary, Canada earlier this month and underscores SMT's commitment to the international market.
Ken Gardiner, SMT's VP of Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations, said, "The opening of our Moscow office improves SMT's strategic presence in Russia and enables us to more easily support our growing customer base in the region including LUKOIL and Rosneft Oil Company."
The Moscow team will be headed up by Country Manager, Nikolay Kutsenko, and includes technical support as well as sales operations.
Commenting on the new team members, Gardiner added, "We are delighted with the new additions to the SMT team. Our Russian new hires bring a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to the organization."
The establishment of SMT's Moscow office is part of the Company's ongoing effort to expand technical support on a global level and provide local language support and assistance to help customers improve their workflows.
Affirming this statement, SMT customer Elena Davidova of Rosneft Oil Company, said, "I must admit that the opening of the SMT Moscow office is an event of the utmost importance and something we had been longing for. Being a major user of SMT products, Rosneft often comes across specific problems we cannot solve ourselves. Now with the SMT Russia Tech Support assistance, it has become much easier for us. It is our hope and expectation that this relationship will only improve and grow."
Galina Shevelova of LUKOIL Overseas, an SMT customer, added, "We have been using SMT's KINGDOM for about a year. SMT's assistance and training have greatly contributed to a better understanding and more efficient use of KINGDOM by LUKOIL users. There is no doubt that the implementation of KINGDOM has improved the quality and reliability of the data interpretation within our company."
