GeoPark Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of Juan Cristóbal Pavez, 38 years old, as Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective August 13, 2008 following his election at the Company's Annual General Meeting.
Pavez graduated from the Universidad Católica de Chile (Catholic University of Chile) in 1992 with a degree in Commercial Engineering. Pavez also obtained a master's degree in Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has held different management positions in industrial and asset management companies with activities in Chile, Brazil and Argentina. Since 2001, Pavez has been CEO at Centinela, a diversified global investment company, with a special focus in the energy industry, including the development of wind energy and hydropower projects.
Pavez currently holds directorships in the following companies: Grupo Security S.A and Vida Security S. A. (listed in the Santiago Stock Exchange); Quintec S.A. (listed in the Santiago Stock Exchange); Inversiones Frimetal S.A. (listed in the Santiago Stock Exchange); Trayenko S.A.; Norvind S.A.; Centinela S.A.; Socoservin Overseas Limited S.A.; and Centinela Inc. In addition to the above, Pavez has been a director previously in the last five years of Compañía Tecno Industrial S.A. (listed in the Santiago Stock Exchange) and Enaex S.A. (listed in the Santiago Stock Exchange).
Pursuant to Rule 17, Schedule Two, Paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies, GeoPark confirms that there are no further disclosures required.
Pavez's direct and indirect shareholding in the Company is, at the time of his appointment, 657,550 ordinary shares.
