LONDON (Dow Jones Newswires), August 4, 2008

The National Iranian Oil Company, or NIOC, will present 15 industry project packages to the global financial markets for investment, by holding national and international tenders, an oil ministry official told the Shana news agency Monday.

Ten of the 15 packages will involve oil and gas projects, a number of which will be offered to domestic and foreign markets next month, Shana reported Seifollah Jashnsaz, managing director of NIOC, as saying.

Foreign companies have shown good interest in these projects he said, adding, "European and Asian companies have made repeated inquiries about being involved with oil industry projects."
