Kencana's Subsidiary Scores Engineering Work on Bintulu Terminal

The Board of Directors of Kencana Petroleum Berhad announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Kencana HL Sdn. Bhd., received a Letter of Award from Murphy Sarawak Oil Co. Ltd for the provision of mechanical and piping installation works for the Bintulu Onshore Receiving Terminal.

The Contract comprises the provision of mechanical and piping installation works for Bintulu Onshore Receiving Facilities (BORF). This Contract forms part of Phase 1 of SK309/SK311 gas field development located offshore Bintulu, Sarawak.

The scope of works of this Contract in general include project management and construction engineering activities for mechanical equipment installation/erection works including unloading and storage at BORF, electrical and instrumentation equipment installation, plant piping works, tank fabrication and erection, flare structure, onshore export gas and dry gas pipelines and safety system including equipment supply.

The Contract value is estimated at approximately RM48 million, and is expected to be fully completed by March 15, 2009.
