Leading industrial technology specialist Tracerco, part of the Johnson Matthey Group, has appointed Vince Croud to the position of Technical Director.
Dr. Croud will oversee the Company’s research and development activities at its Tracer Technology Centre in Billingham, England. This encompasses the full spectrum for application of tracers from tagging oil reservoir fluids to indelible’ finger printing’ of fuels and bulk chemicals in consumer markets.
Since graduating from University College, London in 1982 with a first class honors degree in chemistry, Dr. Croud subsequently completed a PHD and postdoctoral research in the synthesis and spectroscopy of linear chain complexes of nickel, platinum and palladium. Having built up an impressive theoretical background, including the publication of 27 scientific papers, Dr. Croud has applied this knowledge to practice and secured 21 patents for his own inventions.
