TotalFinaElf Takes Delivery of Unity FSO
TotalFinaElf has taken delivery of the Floating, Storage and Offloading vessel Unity for operation offshore Nigeria in connection with the Ofon, and Amenam/Kponom fields. Production from these fields is expected to commence in July of this year. Production at Amenam/Kponom is expected to reach 150,000 barrels a day when the well is fully operational, doubling TotalFinaElf's current output.
Unity has a storage capacity of 2.4 million barrels of crude oil. Meanwhile Unity will begin receiving oil from existing fields, while older vessels are disengaged. The Unity arrived in Nigerian waters on April 24th.
