Mustang Engineering

Mustang Engineering, part of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC, is providing a conceptual study for offshore facilities options for the Greater Sunrise Gas Development in the Timor Sea north of Australia. Mustang’s Perth office is performing the work. The development includes the Sunrise and Troubadour fields, located about 450km north of Darwin and 150km south of Timor-Leste. These fields were discovered in the mid-1970s.

The Sunrise Gas Development Project is a joint venture between Woodside (operator), ConocoPhillips STL Pty Ltd, Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd and Osaka Gas Australia Pty Ltd. Mustang is developing studies on options including piping gas to ConocoPhillips’ Wickham Point LNG facility in Darwin, Northern Territory and piping gas to a Timor-Leste based onshore LNG plant.
