NPD's 3D Seismic of Troms II Delayed Indefinitely Due to Fire

NPD's acquisition of 3D seismic data in Troms II, scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 24, has been postponed indefinitely. The reason is a fire in the vessel Atlantic Explorer, which broke out just before the data acquisition was about to start. According to PGS, which owns the vessel, the ship will now be repaired at a shipyard in Tromsø, and the repairs are expected to take a few weeks.

The 3D vessel BOS Arctic, which is scheduled to take over from Atlantic Explorer in July, is still in a shipyard in Spain. It is expected to leave Spain this week.
