Gulf Keystone: GKN-1 Shut In for Planned Maintenance

Gulf Keystone Petroleum Limited has announced on behalf of the Sonatrach/GKP joint venture that the GKN-1 well has been shut in since early June in order to facilitate the planned work program.

The planned work program consists of maintenance and repairs on the main oil
transportation line, workover of the GKN-1 well and upgrade of the existing
facilities to handle the increased production expected when the GKS-2 well is
brought onstream for the first time.
In addition, during the shut-in period the partners will complete the pipeline necessary to commence production from GKS-2.
