PhoDoc, the integrated operations tool, developed by Odfjell Drilling Technology, has been recognised by ONS, The Offshore North Sea Foundation. This marks the second such accolade received this year, after PhoDoc was awarded the European Gold Seal of E-Excellence at Cebit in March.
PhoDoc provides onshore and offshore personnel with a window into the rig - by visualising data from document and drawing archives, data streams, multimedia feeds, or operation data tools. It provides an integrated arena for collaboration, communication, and interaction for personnel located across geographical and organisational boundaries. The solution is implemented for Odfjell Drilling semisubmersible rigs, as well as selected StatoilHydro and ConocoPhillips platforms.
The Innovation Awards, coinciding with the biannual ONS conference held in Stavanger, Norway, has recognised innovation within the oil and gas sector for 26 years. It has become a hallmark of excellence for groundbreaking technologies for both award nominees and winners. The ONS website describes the awards as a way to recognise the crucial importance cutting-edge products and solutions play for the future of the international oil and gas industry.
Nominees will be recognised throughout the ONS conference and exhibition and winners will be named at the Innovation Luncheon on August 27.
