NPD Seismic Acquisition Postponed Due to Faulty Equipment

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate's seismic data acquisition has been postponed for at least a few days due to technical problems with the seismic equipment. An engineer will be taken to the BOS Atlantic to examine the equipment. This could delay the start-up by two days, but it could also take longer, depending on the gravity of the problem.

When the seismic data acquisition starts, there will be daily bulletins on where the BOS Atlantic will be operating in the next 24 hours. The bulletins will be broadcast on Bodo Radio at 0833 hrs. and published on www.ndp.no on all weekdays.
