Expro Wins Safety Award for Third Year in a Row
Expro is celebrating after collecting the Oil & Gas industry sector award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents for the third year in succession.
The prestigious accolade is given to companies who demonstrate the best statistical safety performance over the past five years, excellent health and safety processes and innovation in the training and development of staff.
The award comes after Expro's 2006 success, when it became the first service company to receive the honor. The company's commitment to maintaining the highest health and safety standards saw it retain the award in 2007, and the 2008 win makes it three in a row for Expro.
The awards were made at a ceremony held on May 13th in front of more than 450 health and safety experts at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, England. President of RoSPA, Baroness Anne Gibson of Market Rasen, deputy president Lord Jordan of Bournville, and vice-president Lord Brougham & Vaux hosted the awards.
This significant achievement marks the latest milestone in Expro's three-year Excellence in Operations program, which has the delivery of outstanding safety performance, service quality and customer care at its heart.
Expro HSEQ manager, Jim McQueenie, who received the award, said: "Winning this award for the third year in a row is a fantastic achievement. This recognises all the dedication and hard work of our people and speaks volumes for our health and safety performance, globally.
