W&T Offshore Re-Elects Board of Directors, Elects Gibara to Board
W&T Offshore, Inc. announced that at its annual meeting of shareholders held on Monday, May 5, 2008 in Houston, its shareholders re-elected Tracy W. Krohn, J. F. Freel, Virginia Boulet, S. James Nelson, Jr. and Robert I. Israel to serve on the Board of Directors for one-year terms. Samir G. Gibara was elected to fill the board seat previously held by Stuart B. Katz, who chose to not run for reelection.
Mr. Gibara is the retired Chairman of the Board of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He also served as CEO of Goodyear from 1996 through 2002. Mr. Gibara is a graduate of Cairo University and holds a M.B.A. from Harvard University. Mr. Gibara also attended the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He has served on the boards of directors of Goodyear, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, International Paper Company and Dana Corp.
