ConocoPhillips Inviting Bids for FEED Contract
ConocoPhillips is inviting for bids for a front-end engineering and development (FEED) contract for further possible developments in the Greater Ekofisk Area.
The scope of the work includes integration of a new Ekofisk accommodation platform with bridge supports and bridges, Ekofisk South - a new wellhead platform for the Ekofisk field including sub sea water injection facilities, and Eldfisk II - two new platforms, pipelines and cables for tie-in of the new facilities to the existing Eldfisk platforms and modification on these installations.
The prequalification process has been completed and both international and Norwegian companies are invited to bid. It is anticipated the contract will be awarded later this year, subject to ConocoPhillips and Ekofisk owners' management approvals. The FEED would start immediately after contract award and last for the next two years.
ConocoPhillips and the Ekofisk owners are working continuously on possibilities that will increase production and the recovery rate for the fields in the Ekofisk area. The planned FEED work will define and mature these possibilities towards decisions in the production licensees.
