Gullfaks A Platform Closed for Scheduled Maintenance

Statoil says that the Gullfaks A platform will remain shut in until April 13th while it is undergoing scheduled maintenance. The shutdown began on March 26 and is expected to take approximately 19 days. The shutdown is for routine maintenance and additional work to increase gas production.

The Gullfaks A platform produces just over 100,000 barrels of oil per day, while the entire Gullfaks complex, including platforms A, B and C produces approximately 280,000 barrels per day and 11 million cubic meters of gas.
