Disappointing Results at Crackling South-1 Well

The Crackling South-1 well located in EP 341 offshore Australia has been plugged and abandoned as planned. The well reached a total depth of 503 meters measured depth on Friday March 28th.

The Crackling South-1 well intersected good oil shows throughout the primary objective, the Mardie Greensands over a 20 meter gross interval. However, the reservoir proved to be poorly developed and of relatively poor permeability.

Participants in the Crackling South-1 well are Tap Oil as operator with 50%; Apache Energy with 22.5%; West Oil with 22.5% and Strike Oil with the remaining 5%.
