The project covered 539 square kilometers in the east foothills of Colombia. The entire survey was completed in 137 days using the most up-to-date acquisition equipment available to the industry today. The operations took place between September 2002 and February 2003. An exceptional 2,281,152 man-hours without any lost time incidents was recorded by this particular Grant crew. Thorough planning and previous experience with the local communities and regional environmental concerns was an integral part of the projects success.
"The results from this survey are very encouraging," said Mr. Luis Fernando Castano, HOCOL Team Leader. "We extend our congratulations to each person who made this accomplishment a reality."
Richard Miles, President of Grant said, "We are proud to be working with HOCOL and being selected by HOCOL for this contract is a testament to Grant's technical expertise and proven track record in Colombia."
