The Seligi A platform, which was shut down last week due to a leak, is expect to resume production soon. Repairs are being carried out on the affected pipeline. The platform is located approximately 155 miles offshore northeastern Terengganu state, Malaysia. The platform produces 57,000 barrels per day of Tapis crude and other platforms in the Tapis system are unaffected and continue to produce.
In a separate incident, a gas leak forced ExxonMobil to halt operations at its Jerneh gas production platform in the South China Sea last week. However, the Jerneh platform has resumed operations already.
