International offshore accommodation specialist Ferguson Modular Ltd has delivered a 24 POB accommodation solution to Aries Offshore Services AS. The $1.4 million order was fulfilled in less than 48 hours and delivered to the Aries Swan vessel at Pacific Wharf, Aberdeen for shipping to Corpus Christie, Texas.
Following modification works by Ferguson Modular's manufacturing division to meet client specifications, the A60 DNV 2.7-1/SOLAS certified units were configured as three 8 person accommodation modules plus a recreation / office module, which will be linked to form a full accommodation complex.
Business Development Coordinator Gary Lindsay explains "The order was placed late on the Friday afternoon and it was crucial that the modules be loaded onto the vessel on the Sunday morning before it set sail. Our manufacturing division worked through the night to outfit the cabins to Aries requirements, while our sister company Ferguson Seacabs provided transportation of the units to the Wharf."
Per Ivar Fagervoll, Director Chartering & Business Development for Aries Offshore, commented "Ferguson Modular were both flexible and understanding of our urgent situation. The service rendered by Ferguson Modular, over a very limited timeframe, was excellent, from the re-configuration of the modules, to load out and transport to Aberdeen dock."
The Aries Swan will arrive in Corpus Christie and begin mobilization for a 5 year contract as a Well Testing Service Vessel for Energy Sea and Land Projects (ESLP) and end user Pemex. The vessel will operate in the Gulf of Mexico on various Pemex locations and all accommodation provided by Ferguson will be utilised in full during this time.
