MOG To Perform DST On Exploration Well In Tunisia

Mediterranean Oil & Gas

The rig operator is due to commence a drill stem test ("DST") on 17 April 2008. The DST will be carried out on three fractured zones inside the Carbonate Complex Formation between 976m and 1,000m depth.

The TEB1 well encountered dark limestones which were possibly oil bearing at approximately 1,000m depth. Image logs within the formation highlighted a 5 metre section within the Carbonate Complex Formation with high porosity associated with a very large fracture system and with the presence of fair to good cut fluorescence.

TEB1 well is first exploratory well on the Teboursouk prospect located in the southern part of the Medjerda Permit. The exploration well was designed to evaluate a new oil and gas play concept for the area, where several Cretaceous proven source rocks are expected to participate in feeding the Teboursouk structure with hydrocarbons.
