Emerald Bay Energy plans to build on its recent successful drilling operations at Nevis, Nelson, Joffre, and Ferrybank with its summer work program that will focus on low-risk, natural gas development drilling opportunities in Central Alberta. The work is expected to begin in May, with plans to drill and operate 16+ wells. It is anticipated that these wells will be completed by the end of August.
While the zones of interest will vary on each lease, it is anticipated that the primary targets will be the Edmonton Sands, Horseshoe Canyon, Belly River, and Ellerslie.
Prior to the summer program, tie-in efforts will continue at Joffre 3-21-39-22 W4, as well as facilities modifications at Twining 16-18-31-23 W4. Prior to this work being completed The Company's current production level is 183 boepd.
"With the recent drilling success in Central Alberta, we look forward to continuing this effort as we execute our summer, natural gas drilling program in Central Alberta. As our mineral leasing continues in South Texas, we look forward to announcing our summer development plans for low-risk drilling for oil that will provide a better balance of oil and gas in our production profile" says Shelby Beattie, President and CEO.
