Spinnaker Exploration has two successful wells in the High Island 202 area of the Gulf of Mexico. The High Island Block 202 #A-3 well was drilled to a true vertical depth of 13,321 feet. This well will significantly extend the proven field limits to the south in both the Rob L-3 and Rob L-5 reservoirs. Production from this well should commence in October of this year. Drilling will begin on the #A-4 well following completion of operations on the #A-3 well. Natural Gas was discovered in the High Island A-19 #1 well which was drilled by Pride Offshore's jackup, Pride Wyoming, to a total depth of 6,650 feet. Production casing has been set and completion operations will commence following completion of the A-18 #1 and High Island 202 #4 wells. Both of those wells were discoveries in separate Discorbis fault blocks and were drilled from a common surface location with the HI A-19 #1.
